In the silent whispers of the night,
And the harsh blares of the day,
There lies a truth, stark and bright,
That suffering is life’s way.
Buddha once echoed through time,
“Life is suffering, this is true,”
But within this rhythmic rhyme,
Lies a path that’s bright and new.
For suffering is not just pain,
It’s a teacher, wise and old.
With every loss, there’s a gain,
And within the hurt, a story to be told.
Through the challenges, thick and thin,
We find humility, deep within.
Accepting life, with its highs and lows,
Is how the river of enlightenment flows.
And when our hearts, heavy, do sag,
We recall the Mahayana’s sage tag:
“All beings suffer, just like you,
Seek compassion, make your view true.“
Tibetan Buddhism, with its profound lore,
Teaches us that suffering is an open door.
A chance to connect, to truly see,
That your pain and mine, they both agree.
In the compassionate gaze of Avalokiteshvara,
We find solace, and a path much clearer.
For he embodies compassion, pure and deep,
Promising to cradle our souls when they weep.

Chanting softly, “Om Mani Padme Hum,”
We feel our anxieties slowly become numb.
A mantra that heals, that sets the heart free,
Turning suffering into a soulful decree.
Embrace the pain, let it be your guide,
For in acceptance, truths reside.
Realize that suffering, vast and wide,
Is but a stepping stone, with love by its side.
“Just as a lotus flower is born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled, so I, born in the world, raised in the world, having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world” – Buddha
May our understanding of suffering lead us to a path of compassion, unity, and ultimate enlightenment.
